I actually just found an old HDD laying around the house (go me! being a pack rat pays off some times) But I do not know how much is on the HDD, because I currently run on a laptop (with no acces to a desktop PC) and the label for the HDD is missing how can I tell how big it is? thoughts or suggestions greatly appreciated.

Well you could buy one of those adapters that allow you to plug up hdds through usb.

I don't know of any other way.
