Dvd drive

Hi, how is everybody?

I got a question. I am planning to purchase a Xbox, but the problem is that the dvd drive will not open. He is selling it for $40.00. Two questions.

1) First being is it fixable?
2) Is $40.00 worth it?

Yes you can fix it with replacing dvd drive but it will cost about as much as getting one that already works .
  Sometimes you can clean the xbox dvd drive to make it work but the one i got to work again didnt last long started back having to tap the top of the xbox to get it to open
