Can it rip like the pros, XOR, LOL, Diamond? I want something that will make it a really small file while keeping the video looking really good.

Here are the programs i use to get it from Dvd to Avi

RipIt4Me (a true one click mode is included) http://www.ripit4me.org/
That program require DVD Decryptor (you cant find that here *google it*)
You can also use DVD Shrink (google that to)
FixVTS http://download.videohelp.com/FixVTS/

and finally the avi converter
avi.net http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=801

After installing all of the programs start RipIt4Me and go to settings, set it up the way you want.
Click "One Click Mode" then jump to menu (if you wanted to reburn it) I keep the Full Moive\Menu option or whatever it says cause if you just select the main moive the episodes arent all there
After that finishes it should start up DVD shrink (if not just double click the icon on your desk top and find the folder.)
Go to settings and in the preference tab uncheck the "split vob files into 1 gig chunks"
now find your movie and select it, then press ctrl + c (to copy of course) the on one of the bars click reauthor
when that comes up press ctrl + v to paste it
do that for what ever feautures you want
now click backup and pick a folder
after that finishes use fixvts to clean up the dvd (just drag and drop a vob file)
now youre ready to convert

start up avi.net (you need the latest framework)
you can either use index.net or start up the program and select the file (this take about 20 minutes for a 2 hour movie)
select the options you want (always check advanced analasyis and sharpen)
i normally keep the bitrate at 900 or higher
when you get it set up the way you want click add job
the conversion process takes about twice the length of the file so i normally hit convert before i go to work or when i hit the sack
you can save the job and call it up before you leave or whatever.

I converted AVP and got excelent quality for only 700mb

this works good for me (even if it is complicated)

One more thing, the cameras on Lost move around alot and this process doesnt make it look great but ok if you can live with medium quality (the episodes come out around 200 -250mb for me)

um id dunno if this program will give you the format you want but it is a really really good DVD ripper it will let you rip just the movie in English or just in Spanish or whatever it has on it heres a link. http://www.dvdfab.com/free .htm DVDs are like 6 gigs like games right well if you rip just the English part it'll only be like 2 gigs maybe more maybe less depends on how long the movie is.hope that helps ^_^   Smiley oh and it's only a trial you'll have to find a crack somewhere or something.ENJOY  Grin

RipIt4Me is no longer in production! They got shut down so you can no longer use it (the last version was 1.7.1.0)  Im checking out Blaze now. It looks good from what i see.
