here is what i have done.. Can someone please help me out

no luck at all. Do you know of a true idiot guide to modding a map.. I want something simple like superjump...
I go into dothalo>
open map>
tags>
biped>
select Masterchief MP>
open tag editor>
change number 3.03 to 10 under jump height to then save changes on tag>
close map exit out of dot halo>
open encryptomatic>
encrypt the file>
open samesig2 select top thing begining of string table, first pop up select and un modded backed up map, then second pop up select the modded map version. Let it encrypt and change strings. Next I go back to the map which it labled "nameofmap".map.map and rename it takeing one of the .maps off so I have deltatab.map.>
FTP to xbox and replace old map with the new one..  Turn on box goto splitscreen for testing>

select map. Then it will do one of two things. One it will start to load and get stuck on a black screen or two it will just fail to load the map. Do you have any ideas what im doing wrong?

Any ideas would be great.. I have not idea what im doing wrong here.

errrrrr whats up with encrpytomatic and samesig?? dothalo auto fixes the encryption when you close a map

and they have to be named the same as they were before modding, not a . after the .map file extension

thats more if you're rebuilding maps totally or creating new ones, you will not need to  encrypt a .map file to a .map file as it is already one Tongue thats why it goes .map.map

Also make sure that the game you used to mod ur box in the first place(splinter cell, Mech assult, or 007) do not have any other game saves on them other than the linux or your mod will not work.

why do you turn everything into a fight?

the answer (if digitalheadshot still bothers to root through this mess) has gotta be:

1) dont use encyprtomatic or samesig - ftp it straight after dothalo
2) the map must have its original name
3) clear your caches before trying a new map (thats e:\cache and anything in x:\ y:\ and z:\ )

now that organised mature professionalism

wooooooooooot woot woot
