use pc monitor as screen to play xbox on

hey yall due to certain reasons i had my tv confiscated from my room n now playin XB is more or less impossible. i did howevever find an old LCD monitor in my closet, sooo... i was wondering if there was any way 4 me to hook up the XB to the monitor?
i was hoping that there might be a way to make the cable that connects the monitor to the comp tower be RCA compatible so that i can hook up the cable to the monitor and make the other end have RCA females. then i can just plug in the XB n play. possible?

i think they made a vga cable for xbox b4 but im not sure, ill look and edit this messege

heres something you need to look at, to see if your computer monitor will work http://playstation2-linux.com/sog.php your pc monitor has to have SOG (Sync on Green) which comes on more recent monitors. also xbox versions 1.4 up will not work either. well after reading the page i found that neiher my xbox nor monitor are compatable , so i will see about finding a better tuturial for you

thanks a lot, i checked the list and i didnt see my monitor on it, so its prob not compatible. however i dont know what version XB i have, is there any way to tell? ill look into getting that VGA converter cuz right now nothing else is working. thanks very much for the tips and hey congratulations on the MOD status.

i didnt becuase i dont play video games all that much anymore, i have to many other things going on these days.
