FTP Question

Could anyone tell me why when I FTP things over to my xbox it takes long? It took about 1 hour to ftp XBMC, and about 20 mins to ftp a 700 mb movie?

I am connected through a router D-link, its slow when I ftp using Internet explorer, and FlashXP

Is that how slow it is suppost to be?

Any help would be aprieated.

it's on al how fast your PC is and your Netcard + router 

my 600mhz pc made my ftping very slow only like 3,000kbps

My new PC made it Much faster
dual core 3.0ghz

9,800kbps - 10,000kbps 

+ your HDD comes in PLay with Both PC HDD and Xbox HDD

+ even what FTP program you Use could slow it down as well

But that still doesnt make sense, I ftped things to my friends xbox using my computer and same program and his was lighitn quick

Maybe your Xbox's NIC card is shitty.

1) Does your friend have the same dash?

2) Is the cable running to his Xbox different or in a different spot in the router?

1) My friend has the same dash. I softmodded it for him
2) Cable was exact same, and same spot, I just took the cable from my xbox and placed it in his.

Sounds like your NIC on your Xbox is ghetto.
