How to play Xbox live on softmodded xboxs

ok i did the mod chip and now i got xbox live and i wanna play the originall halo2 and i wanna no how to play xbox live

my bad i did the softmod and now xbox live is tellin me cannot connect what should i do

Ok, First off Take the game that you did the softmod with (ie:splinter cell, Mech Assult,007)
then place the disk in the tray of youre xbox.
Close the xbox
wait for game to boot
then load the runlinux save just like you did to install youre soft mod
from there click "disable softmod"
this will not remove the softmod from youre system just disable it.
also if youre purpose is to use modded content on live then GTFO NOOB. jk but you wont be told how to do that here
If you want modded gameplay online google "Xlink kai" or "xbox connect"

     Plug in Ethernet cord.Play
XBC:
     Plug in Ethernet cord, configure XBC, go to LAN in youre game. Play
