I've soft modded my xbox, and am now trying to transfer files onto my EVOLU-X, but i dont have a ethernet port on my laptop (Ghetto OLD), and i dont have a router. I just want to know an easy soloution to my problem, i could buy a new laptop which could help but i dont really want to spend alot of money! any help would be great.

you can always burn the files you want onto a CD if you have a samsung DVD rom in your xbxo. if not burn them to a DVD-RW, so you can use it again. you might be able to find a connector somewhere that will let you go USB to Crossover cable... ( I wish ) but, I think your best bet is to use a DVD-RW
OR
you can install Linksboks to your xbox and download the skins and files you want and use a newer XBMC to open the ZIP files or RAR files and dump them where needed.
hope this helps BOOST

The usual plces (XBINS) http://www.how2xbox.com/site/XBOX/Easy/Xbins/tabid/90/Default.aspxTo install unrar/zip the file and copy it into E:/apps via ftp, or in your case of a CD/DVD or usb device ^ I Dont think evox has a file explorer though, although i could be wrong as i have had very little experience with it, so you might need to install unleash x as your dash to copy files off a CD/DVD.

if you are just transfering files, like music, pictures, and that kind of stuff.
pop a dvd or cd in your computer and burn the dvd or CD as DATA. XBMC and UnleashX both have file managers built in. it'll let you read the DVDROM ( D ) and copy it to where ever you choose. lets say you have XBMC put in the dvd, goto Files, then choose the DVD ROM. go over to the right half and choose E then Music ( or make a folder ) go back to the left side and press White, then "select all" then press White again and "copy"
this will copy all the files into whatever the right side folder is in.
Unleash X is VERY simular if not exact. give it a shot.

if your running unleash then you might not have a emulator tab if you use a DVD-R and burn it as Data just like the folders and roms on the DVD you can copy it to your E:/Emulators folder and use XBMC to play them ( if you dont have a emulator tab in Unleash )
as for the halo mods, you need to copy those to over your old halo2 maps after you have patched them. you can copy anything to your Xbox, it's just space and storage.
Try using XBMC instead of unleash and make sure the Emulator folder is called "Emulators" not "Emus" Emus is for Unleash by default, but without a emulator tab... it's useless. you can also Launch the emulators after they are on your xbox by going to: Unleash Dash - file manager - emulator folder - then choose the emulator - Default.XBE the XBE is the Emulator executable, thats how you manually make it work. at least you can check it to see if your emulator is working.
apps go into E:/apps OR F:/apps if you have F: there might be a problem with the way you are burning these files.
If you have more questions about modding halo2 please ask them in the halo2 modding section. for everything else there's Mastercard®
good luck BOOST
