External Drives (HD or DVD or CD) are the same as Internal. With the the excepton there's no slick external case. With an adapter off ebay, I've turned many a device into an external. Works well, just make sure that your usb is USB 2.0. Otherwise, it'll run slow as mollasses up hill in the winter time.

Looks aren't a concern for any uber hax0r 1337 pwnr. Smiley

also use DVD-R

the +R discs seem to always give xboxes problems too

Try the same thing you jsut did with a DVD-R

that will fix it

BOOST

BOOST i've heard that alot, and i think it is not right
i've used dvd+r all the time, simply because my writers cant burn dvd-r's
the only time one didnt work, was my halo2 and it had candle wax on it for some reason,
but after i cleaned it off it worked...
and i've tried around 4 different versions of dvd+r's
and they all seem to work Shocked

actually boost is quite right... there are a couple different dvd drives they used in the xbox, some of them play different types of media better than the others.

in some drives the dvd+r work perfect, but others they dont, i burnt killtrocity 2 a dvd+r and it ran on one box while it didnt work on 2 others, so it all matters what drivew you have and how it likes the different disc. i guess your jus lucky Smiley

Man thats kind of Sad...

All of you should Know by now that there are 4 dif  DVD-ROMS made for Xbox and they all do not support the Same media format

there are alot of place where you can find a list of what DVD-ROM supports What

only thang that sucks that there are many versions to the Drives so 1 samsung will  support CD-R/RW,DVD-R/RW,DVD+R/RW
and the other may only support CD-R/RW,DVD-R/RW

Why we say try a DVD-R  as 90% of the xbox DVD-ROMs support this format

and i have not even talked about Brand Support   beening  Sony the best  LOL

AND  at what speed you Burn  8x works  grate for me  16x will some times Not work at all or make the Game Laggy as Hell
