Author Topic: Is it possible to erase a locked hd that i don't have password to?  (Read 5520 times)

Installing new hard drive got in a hurry and screwed up. Is there a way to just start completely over?

if you backed up or C: and E: + eeprom then yes just unlock hdd then remake HDD with fresh copy of C: and E: then just lock hdd and done

There is no way to fix it at least to my knowledge. I still have a 80gig sitting in my room that is useless thanks to careless errors.

What do I do if I don't have either?  (hd + eeprom b/up)

yeah if you have a western digital harddrive then use a tool like atapwd and use WDCWDCWDCWDCWDCWDCWDCWDCWDCWDCWDC

(WDC x 11 )

it's on llamma.com also
