Movie Player update

To play DivX movies you need to download an update and I was wondering if that would mess with the Soft Mod?

In my (un)professional opinion, I'd say no. An update to a video encoder shouldn't mess with your softmod. That being said, there's always a possibility of corruption. So backup all your information, especially your eeprom.

Thanks it'll be (hopefully) nice to be able to watch movies in the comfort of my bed then switch to my backed up games when I'm bored.
