Ok, is there a way to have Ubuntu and run ALL my Windows apps as if I was in Windows. Like basically have a Linux kernal and UI, but run Windows apps. I know Wine does this, but is it 100% compatible? Is it fast? Does it run in the background and once I install my app, could I just run it like I would  in Windows?

I'm just sick and tired of Windows BS and viruses. Ubuntu is a great solution to these problems. I am just very reluctant on switching full time. I am used to Windows apps.

Yes and NO.

you can use Wine  to Load all Windows Apps BUT it's Crap on a stick  Tongue

Anyways Even Ubuntu can get a virus, it's a Little harder as you can't do s**t with it anyways other then Look at it and see all the Nice Errors  Shocked

as for getting viruses on windows I can't see how that happen lol I mean if you Just use some Nice AVS programs like Avast (Free) you should never really run into that problem Unless you Like them Porn sties to much  Roll Eyes

As you can tell i have had More errors and problems with Linux then ANY OS i have tryed
(Even Vista was better then Linux)

Linux...... I've used linux in the past and its very stable and its a great os overall but it lacks the compatibility that windows has and also everything is developed for windows now so unless you are either a enthusiast or a hacker or just want to try something new then linux is not for you.

Hmm, that sucks. And I have Avast PRO, and don't surf porn sites, and I still have troubles. Like my PC will just lock up sometimes. Random shutdowns, ect... Never had a problem in Linux.

I never said Windows sucks. It's just glitchy and very prone to viruses. I also never said Linux is the best. It isn't. It doesn't have the compatibility Windows does, or the user base.

Lol so true my windows hasnt crashed once since i installed it over a year ago but i have a backup of my registry and just use that every two months lol. And linux does have a lot of errors if you dont use it right. I've dealt with so much crap on linux like cmd installs(pain in the ass by the way) windows is better if you can keep it working right. I just reinstalled windows on my parents pc and it already bluescreened 3 times and its only 3 months ago that i did that. it has become such a pain. They keep blaming me for it screwing up but i haven't even used it.

Yo,  I would recommend VirtualBox. I use it everyday to run Photoshop and other Adobe products when I'm building websites. I otherwise run Ubuntu as my main OS and have rocked linux for years.

It's stable, fun, sexy, and gets you laid at clubs...

Hoe: "What OS do you run?"
Me: "Linux, Hoe; why ever do you ask?"
Hoe: "OHAHAHHAHHHHHHH (o face)"
Me: "Ahhh Yeahhh!"

You get the idea.
