Ok guys.

Successfully modded my wii a couple of days ago. I have been playing with the homebrew browser.
Awesome tool. I recommend it to all.

I used ZZk2001's files, and I was wondering about the wii shop fix included in the pack.

I have a 3.3U.

Am I correct in thinking that the included wii shop fix, will update the shop, but not the wii firmware?
Thats what I have read, but wanted to see of anybody else has used this sucessfully.

Also, I would like more channels. How can I install the waps as channels?

Also, what files can I delete from my SD card.

I'm thinkin I can delete these files:
00000001 folder.
private folder.
boot.dol file.
cIOS_Installer folder .

Also, doesn't the new homebrew channel allow you use an SDHC card?

thanx,

XB

really you can delete All the files in the SD card if you Like As
1. you can place the Loader on the Wii Menu
2. after you done installed everything from the cIOS and what not you don't Need them on the SD card

I have done the Mii channel update and Shop channel update But work fine.

If you Downgrade to 3.2 you can even install the SoftMii That lets you play the Games right from the Disc channel

Didn't you say that it is not worth using soft mii is to high of a risk?

also,
is this the best way to install wiiGator as channel?

extract the WAD file from the downloaded and place it in the "wad" folder on the SD Card.

3) Start The Homebrew Channel then select WAD Manger. Select the SD Card as the source and a list of WAD files will come up. Go to the Boot Loader WAD file you just transfered to the wad folder and press + on the Wii-mote. This will install the channel to your Wii menu.

hahaha i just ran into that with a friend today
U burnt a PAL game and it's your TV trust me
either you TV is an old model, or it dose not support PAL
try it out on an HDTV it'll work

Or if you have Wii Gator/Backup Launcher try forcing it into PAL
but its always best to get NTSC games

all home brew, wad and games will run better because it has everything 3.4 does. 3.3 & 3.4 was just made to stop the Twilight Hack but that was a fail

ok. let me get this straight.

Downgrading to 3.2 give you all the benefits of 3.4, but without the bs that tries to block twilight hack?

BTW. Thanz zzk2001. the shop fix works great. Havent tried the internet channel yet though.

Ok:

So technically the downgrading  is useless since the TL hack works on 3.3 and 3.4. Unless you want softMii.

I know this is redundant, but I am curious.

No not really since most home brew, and installation of WADs is easier on 3.2 then 3.4 since it tries to stop wad installs as well

So basicly over all just for the fact the security is weaker on 3.2 and easier to do s**t on it...yeah Grin

well I think happy with the results I get with 3.3.
I have had no prob installing WADs on 3.3.
I did notice that Wii Gator does work better than backup loader.
I imagine sooner or later that there will be progress made on the mod to give you better control even with 3.3 or 3.4.
Right now I am working on more channels. I really don't like having to use homebrew channel for everything.
softMii looks like a good route if it were less risky. I guess this will come will with time.
Thanx for the info.

when i done My testing Before Making the Videos I found that On 3.4 with All the IOS installed everything that Works on 3.2 Worked On 3.4 All the same and Easy

I think the Only Thing I have Not tryed was SoftMii on 3.4 BUT i keep being Told you need 3.2 BUT i was told the Same Crap about Playing Games,WADs

Me i am a Risk taker  and I never Say Never (i just say Unlikely) =P  Like PS3 getting Hacked is unlikely

But the Best thing it Trying for your self (I am not saying don't follow what Ppl say) BUT take Some risk Some times and find the answers for your self.
