hey everyone, i recently got Assassin's Creed for my PC and i was really psyched, but it turns out that my computer does not meet the minimum requirements. boo hoo. anyways the last page of the installation showed me this..

its turns out that when in comes to my CPU, video card, and shader (watteva) i dont meet the cut. what specifically do i need to install into my computer to get me up to speed? thanks.

shader model would be the thing that would make things the most glitchey, but just haveing everything set to minimal with low res you should be able to play it fine with that card and cpu, maybe have some frame drops, but you shouldnt expect a mid range pc from 2003 to perform to a brand new game like assassins creed.

You need a Dual Core processor
And at least a GeForce 6 or 7
there is no way around this man, sorry
That CPU is just NOT going to run the game, even if you have a better video card

well you will have to get a new motherboard all together
which means new ram
and a better video card

basically an ALL new computer
However i recomend the AMD Anthlon FX2

best dualcore i ever used

4 grand huh, im shitting bricks thinking about it. so its either a year's tuition or a kick ass PC.

but what about a laptop, can i get one with like 4GB of ram with like a killer graphics engine, for under a thousand? what if i get a ok laptop then soup it up, would it cost less to do that? what brand would you suggest?

so ive been looking around online, what would be the minimum processor speed i should shop for? its gotta be a dual core right... is there a difference between AMD and Intel?

Builtin WebCam

and alot more features i dont feel like listing
in any case, if i could build a laptop i would, otherwise, i LOVE this one

couldnt agree more
only i HAD to have one, i do AutoCAD design and i have to go out to the site and i need the plans for the plant in front of me and all

its kind of bulky, but hey, it beats the pants of an alienware in preformance and price
i have to give Dell a thumbs up, for once

ooh torn between two extremes. on the one hand building a pc sounds really rewarding, considering the gear it could be loaded up with. plus the cost is appealing. but i was considering buying a laptop anyways, for school next year. the cost of building a pretty good PC equals the cost of buying an average laptop. what's a n00b gonna do?
