just a question ummm would it be possible to run windows vista as an app if it was modded just right, like with a ram upgrade to 1GB from 512MB.I mean I think thats the only upgrade that you would need because vista needs a minimum of 1 GB to run ok so they say and then you wouldn't need a keyboard because they sell the attachment for like $30 for the 360 controller.and the video i don't think anything would be needed there because it can already do HD so that kinda makes it seem like it would be perfect to me...i dunno just wondering anybody else got some opinions? on how to make it work?also i can't write software and what not because i don't know how so don't think I'm gonna try to lol also i cant cause i have to share my 360  Cry

360 uses a PPC cpu, so there is no way possible to run any windows in any kind of native form, inside a linux distro doing a virtual machine is possible but thats it. also the 360 doesnt have true 512mb of ram, its 512 shared, so its really more like 256mb of ram. as for replaceing the ram, since the 360 is setup to share the ram between itself and the gpu, i dont see how so without messing up the system. you can upgrade the ram in the ps3, but its very hard and useless since the system will not pick up the extra ram, and the ps3 limits the ps3's resources under linux. as for controls, using a usb keyboard and mouse should do it when running linux, my advice is to run ubuntu and use compiz fusion, its a whole lot nice looking then vistas ui.

dont let my post count make you think im a geek Smiley thats just because i have to many post to count lol. if you where able to get it to run lets put it this way, it would be the same as this pc

cpu: amd phenom
ram: 256mb ddr3
gpu: 7600 gt 256mb

that system has about the same performace specs and same floating performance. also runs about the same bandwidth for the most part.
