You should use Xlink Kai instead.

theres a 30ms ping limit on most games on 306, some games require like a 25ms ping, some a 32ms ping. Xlink kai, 99% of the time, will give you a loser ping to someone than xbc, because it has been built with different tunneling software. may i ask, why are you chipping your 360, when there custom firmwares for all 360 drives now?

what he is saying is Why not flash a firmware to the DVD-ROM drive and not waste money on a chip that can't get you online.

yes if i remeber correctly, what it does is modify the firmware so that it doesnt check for CD-R or RW it just reads everything as a DVD-ROM, and a few other things preventing detection, yadaa yadaa so yes, you can burn the games to a disc and play them there is more about this process in the 360 section of this forum, READ UP!!

it will allow you to play backups "that you own" original copies of, and it will allow you to play on xbox live.

all modding a 360 lets you do as of right now, chipping, or flashing, is allow you to play backups. besides that, it is just the same as a unmodded 360.
