hey ya'll

im just wondering if there is any news of a 360 softmod in the works, or am i just being a whimp and should chip my very overpriced 360 ?

you done need to chip the 360 to mod it. just if put a custom firmware on the dvd drive. if you have the benq drive though, you need to make a jumper on the drive, but besides that, its all "softmodding" unless you really want a modchip

^yea, you can do the DVD firmware stuff, but i wouldnt say that is really softmodding. the 360 can't be softmodded like the origional xbox because the dashboard is stored on a flash chip on the motherboard, not the hard drive so it would involve flashing. Though there is some pleasing progress progress with the kernel downgrade and timing attack. Wink

I never put modchips in a 360,

best way is changin the firmware, an always reversable and upgradeable,  Smiley
