While SP3 has been delayed for public release, they have still uploaded the FINAL version onto the WU servers
You can find the links here
these are official links

The english SP3 can be downloaded directly (windowsxp-kb936929-sp3-x86-enu)

You might want to look at this man
it lets you completely customize your PC, to no end

and the best part is it has a patcher that cant be stopped Wink
if anything you can just make a custom ISO that is patched
i intergrated all my custom skins and themes in before install

takes a little while to go over all the options but if you truly like custom... this is the way to go

EDIT:
Got you covered man

How To Replace Uxtheme.dll
1. First of all delete uxtheme.dll file from C:\Windows\system32\dllcache and C:\Windows\ServicePackFiles\i386
2. Navigate to C:\Windows\system32 and backup the original uxtheme.dll by renaming it or by copying it on your desktop.
3. Paste the patched or hacked uxtheme.dll (which you downloaded from here) to C:\Windows\system32.

* You should get a pop-up windows titled "Windows File Protection". Click on OK.
* You should then see a second Windows File Protection pop-up window asking you to insert your SP2 CD. Click on Cancel.
* You'll then get a third pop-up window asking you if you are sure you want to keep the unrecognized file. Click Yes.
* If you get another pop-us then ignore it and reboot your PC.

yeah its more underthe surface that its differnt
its alot more stable and idk why but it lowered myCPU temp by 3 degrees..

in any case, on a fresh install, i intergrated SP3 onto SP0 XP RTM 2001 original, and the final file size was 233.xx mb, a saving of 100 something mb

its alot smaller than any other windows version

i like it alot, and i wouldnt choose anything else for a fresh install now

PS i dont do upgrades

My uxtheme.dll remained patched even after I updated to SP3.

it depends from wat i have seen if you HAVE the custom skin up when you update teh SP
that seems to make a difference

(and zzk the straight patch worked perfectly, just so you know, tried it myself)
