hey,
i usually use firefox for all my internet needs, but i also have IE. just recently this happened. id be surfing on firefox and a popup shows up. and its not a firefox popup its a full window IE popup. its really starting to bug me. id be doing some research about college programs and all of a sudden a local singles popup will be staring at me and that just so happens to be the same moment my mom walks in and asks me what im doing. then she sees the screen and... well u know. i still dont think she believed me when i told her it was a popup. anyways. is there anyway to get rid of it. ive got a virus scanner and its been keeping my comp in pretty good condition, but i dont have any other app to get rid of popups. do i need one? can i just play around with some configs and make the problem go away? pls let me know. thanks.

get a adware protection program to get rid of those. you can also try turning on the pop up blocker in IE as well.

alot of times Ad-Aware just does not cut it SO what i would do

Run windows in safemod  then use Every Program i got to detele Spy ware

Ad-Aware
Spy-Bot
super antivirus
prevx

The list goes On  Just use everything you got And delete all in you're Temp folder
If all that does not work then you may need to do a roll Back or Reinstall
