xbl gold renewall help (h2)

i just recently added my xbl account to my new 360, i made the account on xbox.com a few months back, and today i went out and bought a 12+1 month card of xbl. I put in the # and restarted my xbox thinking WOOHOO now i can play halo 2 on this tag, so i boot up halo 2 and it comes up saying that i have to read info from m$, and it gives me the options to go to account management, or play offline. I have another account that works just fine with halo2 on my 360,  but it only have 1 month of gold on it. any help is much apreciated.

erm are you sure you got the xbox 360 package the white one not the xbox1 black one?

yes, its the 360, it doesnt matter, they both do the same thing anyways.

ok i got it fixed, what happened was i made a few windows live accounts, and i didnt use the parent account for my xbl tag, and it had xbox 1 games restrcted in the child acount settings. but i fixed it
