hey you guys, i was trying to make a clear jewel for my xbox from my existing stock one. so i managed to get the jewel off the box with a butter knife with minimal damage. and now it was time to get the sticky stuff off. i did that with my fingers and got it done all good. but the hardest part was getting the green backing off. i read online that i should sand it, or use Brasso, or whatever. i sanded with my dremel cuz i didnt have real sandpaper. needless to say i f'ed up my jewel. plus it has all these scratches from the sanding. knowing that the damaged could not be reversed, i took the experience as a lesson learned. now that the worst had happened, i figured that id try to get the remaining green off just for the hell of it. i used nail polish remover and the green slided off! however the jewel had a huge crack in the middle... just thought id share that with you. later. skip PS> anyone know where i can find XB jewels for cheap? anyone willing to donate  regular softscrub works wonders for removing the green. us a dremel with the buffing tip and some softscrub, you wont be disappointed. |
