nobody knows how to succesfully lock this drive?

everywhere says its lockable but xboxhdm wont lock it the message says its not supported.any ideas on how to get it done.i downloaded configmagic but it seems to be an xbox program.if i cant lock the drive i cant boot to it and use configmagic.....help!!

ya gotta admit...it would be a neat feature to just pop it in a flash drive and do it that way.oh well if only i took those computer classes in high school...lol

or better yet...can you put the files from the cd on a flash drive and boot up with that?

i seem to be on a transfer tangent lately...lol
is it possible to use a usb flash drive to transfer the eeprom file?
IE: ftp the file from xbox to computer in house,copy file to flash drive and use in another computer with a "all xbox" cd.....basically using the floppy method with a flash drive instead of a floppy.

thats what i was fearing.some of the roms are new and have long names.

i have sucessfully transfered all my files to my box but a few roms.there seems to be a problem with long file names.cuteftp would transfer them before it went all retarded on me.is there a way to transfer them without renaming them?or o i have to make them shorter?

filezilla was one of the others i tried that wouldnt work.

i didnt know you could use IE...never tried it...oh well im going to give it a shot with my new flash fxp tomorrow night.ill have to look in to the IE way just type in the ip and go? hows it done?

it will run like hell...stop...sit there....pass a few files....sit there....i reboot the box....passes a few files......sits there....its taking forever to transfer a few emus and roms....whats wrong with this thing.3 different boxes same results.

i looked around and i think i asked it before but how could i connect my laptop to my modded xbox directly to transfer files? or is it only possible through a router?

well i got the blasted drive working!!! only thing i can see i did different this time is i copied all files from c: and e: on the orig drive to the linux folder,where i was just using the c:files before,and made the iso again(for the 5th time...lol) the planets lined up this time and it took.it booted up to the retail dash and i remodded it.now if i can figure out how i got the softmod removal menu when you start with the tray open....the search is on!!lol

it started life as a .mov from my camera,i converted it to .mpg then to .avi for shrinkage.im hosting it on the car club site im webmaster of.any other ideas on how to publish it successfully?
