I have a bunch of these stupid drives kicking around. They're just taking up space. Some guy used his as dominoes on youtube. I have no idea what to do with mine

I've been playing them (N64 roms) on my PC using my 360 and Project64 and they work mint. Like ZZK said, probably over 90% of them work. The Xbox however, just doesn't have the processing power to emulate them properly. The only things I've been able to play are the lower end ones like Tetris 64.

I've been waiting to test out the DOS emulator with some things like Tex Murphy. That'd be pretty sweet to play on the 360

I think so too. I'm too lazy to check but if you see the option for 32, go for it.

If you have a slim Seagate drive, you can format the F partition for 2 extra gigs. The latest version of UnleashX will display it with a zero next to it if you have one. Just press the white button and click "Format."

This only works for the newer, slim seagate drives though. Installing a new HDD isn't hard if you're worried about running out of space.

I forget if mine is 16 or 32. Write to it first to test. Mine worked without issues the first time until I filled it to about the 350 mark or so and then I had issues. It wouldn't transfer anything and I lost a lot of data. So write a bunch of data to it first to test

thanks zzk so i would format g with your tutorial then use xbpartationar?

I just uploaded xbpartitioner to my E drive and formatted both 6 and 7 (F and G) with one of the preset options and it split my 750 into 370/370 or something to that effect. Whatever it works out to. But it did fix any issues and I've since filled it and I haven't run into any problems since. F and G don't necessarily need to be formatted before you use it since it's going to format them anyway
22  Xbox / Questions / Re: Flashing an xbox BIOS on: March 21, 2008, 02:46:33 PM
I was so pissed when I looked at the folder. And my backup PC for prepping HDDs died. So now I have to find some old ass parts and make another one.

I'd still like to know what the hell that guy did because before I ripped the HDD out and swapped the new one, I deleted the entire C, wrote over it, deleted all of E and F and it still booted EvoX. But then I swapped HDDs from another box and it booted UnleashX. Voodoo and trickery is afoot. anyway, it's over now and I didn't punch it in the face
23  Xbox / Questions / Re: Flashing an xbox BIOS on: March 20, 2008, 06:09:32 AM
I checked over the new HDD and I accidentally used his backup C folder for the god damn xbhdm ISO instead of the stock C files which were labeled as such which is by far the most retarded mistake I've made yet. So I took one out of another box I upgraded, locked it for the box I was working on and it worked, it booted right into UnleashX. So suffice to say I didn't spend even half the time I should've, checking everything over.

I am still pissed off however about my modchip or rather the solderless adapter, because I snapped the F..ing d0 pin. I could simply solder a wire to the point it broke off and then solder a piece of the pin to the end couldn't I? I figure the wire would be easier to bend than the pin was.

Guys, I don't think you're getting it. I wrote a brand new hard drive using stock C files and a completely empty E, locked it using the eeprom and put it in. The xbox still boots into this Evox screen with only two options.

So in other words, I completely removed the old hard drive, so it has nothing to so with any dashboard files whatsoever on the hard drive. I replaced the old one with a new hard drive with untouched, stock C files.

It's almost acting as if it's been TSOP'd but from what the guy tells me, he just ran a boot CD and from there, he screwed it up. Aside from that I have no other info as to what he did to screw it up. There's no chip in it and the old hard drive has been removed.

That's the thing, I did a completely new HDD for it and it's still doing the same thing.
26  Xbox / Questions / Flashing an xbox BIOS on: March 18, 2008, 04:54:13 PM
I have a softmodded xbox that as far as I know, was flashed with an EvoX bios from an owner who didn't realize the boot disc he was using was for chips and that there wasn't anything wrong with his xbox to begin with.

Anyways, the xbox now boots into a minuscule Evox with just Launch Disc and System settings as the two options. I can get around it by launching another disc with boxplorer to access the hard drive, but I was wondering if I could reflash the bios with a retail one from another xbox. And if I can, what program would I use, and does the bios have to be from the same version of xbox or can a 1.5 BIOS be used on a 1.1 or 1.2 box?

There's something to be said for my feminine figure.

That top pic is pretty lame of me but it's one of the only ones I have kicking around of me and my chick. Once I get duckweedmafia.com sorted out and a good front page up I'll have stills of all the contributors. Which reminds me, if anybody on here knows a bit of flash for making a simple menu, drop me a PM or email. I can try to pay you back somehow.

I still hate these viper extreme chips. Well that's a lie, they work great but I can't get the games to burn properly so that's more the program I'm using, burner and media.
