also use DVD-R

the +R discs seem to always give xboxes problems too

Try the same thing you jsut did with a DVD-R

that will fix it

BOOST i've heard that alot, and i think it is not right
i've used dvd+r all the time, simply because my writers cant burn dvd-r's
the only time one didnt work, was my halo2 and it had candle wax on it for some reason,
but after i cleaned it off it worked...
and i've tried around 4 different versions of dvd+r's
and they all seem to work

What is this firmware hack really capable of?
Its been out for some time but i never really knew...
will the xbox 360 get ahead of Xbox's technology that comes w/ the softmod?

Trust me even if you did know
the packages are not always there, I'm saying this in a laptops point of view,
the PC drivers might be easy to find, i guess.. but on a laptop they get a tiny bit complicated.

Okay, me and the Dr. started talking about prizes,
and i guess we got somewhere

at first we thought, if we can get hands on money
we would make the contests more fun and rewarding
depending on how much we have, prizes could go on like a Xbox game, case mod, or something special, even something like a controller..
but then thinking of that, just like always, money isn't always there..

so, i think it would be nice, to give the winner its own rank,
like if you look under (or top) of my avatar, it says full member,
for those who have won the Sig Contest, they would get their own group, such as Siggy God or something weird and cheesy but yet powerful.

Another thing that could be done is privileges.
Not Mod or Admin wise but special pages are unlocked, or users will have access to special downloads or something along that track.

well depends .. if you have money, you can take the contest to a whole different level
you could award a xbox game, case, or something that would look cool
and since it would be free and all you need to do is make a signature
then people will just post and try as hard as they can

but if money is not a option
maybe special VIP features..
stuff where they can get special downloads, exclusive tutorials, i don't know but you catch my drift..

i opened mine and the thing is very compact, not much i could do, however i painted the orig controller black
i kinda screwed up because i didn't give it time to dry before putting it back together, but oh well i'll try it out..

the only game i loved in the PSX series was the Ace Combat, i believe thats what it was called,

Dr. yes it would be lovely to have one site to check in, but the community matters
for many things I've had one site, but for parts where i needed help the community is really sh***y .
Its great to see smdepot building around a very nice community and good to see other websites trying to get to that goal

yea i think that is a very cool idea, having the xbox.smdepot.net, but it would get a little messy in my opinion.
however with help from people i think it can be nicely pulled off..
those with graphic skills can modify themes so it looks and feels like the actual console
like the xbox360.smdepot.net would be a sort of greenish feel, and the other consoles based on their primary colors too

I wasn't sure about this at first, but maybe we could setup a Projects section, where a person submits a project that they are going to do, and slowly as they are building it, they provide pictures and how it came our
or maybe users submit projects and if the modders feel like they can do it, they will start it and finish it along with a nice looking tutorial..
