Hi,
I have softmodded my xbox with ndure 1.1. I was wondering if I could add a second DVD drive to my xbox, like in this tutorial ---> http://www.xbox-scene.com/articles/swap-dvd.php

In that tutorial they show how to do it on a hardmodded xbox, but they never mention if it works on a softmod. I really need to do this because I am stuck with a Thompson drive. The Thompson drive is SO bad that some of my retail copies of games don't even start!

Also if this works, could I use this extremely cheap DVD-ROM drive work with this mod?

Thanks! Grin

yes you can swap DVD drives, but not with THAT tutorial. It doesn't matter if you have a softmodded or hardmodded or virgin box it will work, but let me check for the right tutorial (and you cant use just any dvd drive)

i couldnt find where it was after a quick search
but my suggestion to you is
Get a lens
And follow this guide

about a 15 dollar replacement, and guaranteed to work completely

(but first try cleaning the lens on your dvd drive Wink)

Ok, great! Thanks for repling. yesterday I tried to clean the lens with a glass cleaner and it didn't really do anything. I guess I will have to replace the lens.

Thanks again!

if you can find one you can just swap it out and place it in BUT it's getting harder to find Xbox 1 DVD-Roms

if you can try getting a Samsung
