e-loader for PSP Slim!

Monday, September 17th, 2007

Finaly the new psp slim owners can use 1.50 kernal homebrew on their m33 psp’s! Now this is great because most of the homebrew to this date require a 1.50 kernal to run. Before this we had to use a program that would change the eboot.pbp signature to run like a 2.00+ kernal.

PSP Slims come in 3 Flavors

I know that a lot will probably wonder what the use of this is now that we have Pandora out so that anyone can downgrade, well the main reason is the PSP-Lite. As a lot of people are finding out the PSP Lite is unable to run 1.50 kernel, this means that old homebrew games are not able to run on the PSP Lite custom firmware, however eLoader makes it possible to run some of these older games without needing to recompile them. So I hope all you new PSP Lite owners enjoy getting to see some of the old homebrew games running on the new device.

Team M33 Speaks Out

Monday, September 17th, 2007

Well the story is that M33 is pissed off that their “private svn” was leaked. And with this being done, not only were CFW makers benefiting from it, but as well as Sony. Thats right now Sony can use this against us CFW users/makers to hinder the CFW making, “This intrusion into one of the basis of the actual PSP Scene, has just made harm to the entire world of the PSP Scene. Therefore, Sony saw this and made some interesting changes in some modules (mainly loadcore), plus the change of some nids that are used to the development of M33 Custom Firmware.” says M33. Lets just hope the M33 keeps bringing that wonderful CFW.

3.60 M33 For The PSP Slim!

Saturday, September 15th, 2007

PSP SlimAs of a couple of days ago the PSP slim has been hacked via Pandora’s Battery and now even has its own custom firmware made by of course the new M33 team. More from PSP-hacks.

All the steps are detailed in “readme.en” for English readers, and “” for Russians.

3.60 M33 for PSP Slim has all the features of 3.52 M33, except the 1.50 kernel support, as that kernel doesn’t work properly on psp slim (hardware problems, screen problems). 3.60 M33 will load homebrew from GAME, GAME150 and GAME360 directories, but all will be executed with 3.60 kernel.

This mean that some homebrew done specifically for the 1.50 kernel cannot work on 3.60 M33. However, the adaptation of code to 2.XX+ kernels is not difficult, and homebrew developers can port their applications to work in these firmwares.

And to answer your next question: “is M33 gonna make a 3.60 cfw for the fat psp’s?”

The firmware as it is flashed in the slim psp’s is only for psp slims. Whenever Sony releases an updater, we’ll support both, fat and slim psp’s, but we are not gonna make a custom firmware using 3.60 slim dump, because it is not done for the fat psp. Stop listening stupid rumors of kids: we are 103% sure that Sony will continue releasing firmware updates for all psp’s. Moreover, the 3.60 firmware was done before 3.52: the pops, for example, is a clone of the one of 3.50/3.51. So it has nothing new for fat psp’s.

There you have it, one for the books! Kudos team

Pachter: 40GB PS3 could Combat Halo 3

Friday, September 14th, 2007

ps3Halo 3 sales will top 3 million in 12 days, driving Xbox 360 sales, says Michael Pachter, who believes a PS2 price cut and new 40GB PS3 could be announced by Sony at TGS to combat the Halo 3 juggernaut.

ImageIn his latest research note to investors, Wedbush Morgan’s Pachter says, “The top September release is expected to be Microsoft’s Halo 3 (360), which we expect to sell over 3 million U.S. units in its first 12 days.

“We expect the game to be a driver of console sales, and believe that Microsoft’s unit sales for the 360 could exceed 400,000 in September, the highest figure for a non-holiday month since launch.”

While Pachter said that “industry software sales growth comparisons will remain difficult in September”, he expects a modest rise in hardware sales due to price cuts made to Sony’s PS3 and Microsoft’s Xbox 360 in July and August respectively.

He also notes that should whisperings about a PlayStation 2 price cut to $99 and the release of a new $399 40GB PS3 turn out to be more than just rumors, the Tokyo Game Show would be an ideal venue for Sony to make such announcements.

“We think that both of these ideas have merit, and note that Sony Computer Entertainment president Kaz Hirai is the keynote speaker at next week’s Tokyo Game Show. If the rumors are true, we cannot think of a better forum for making such an announcement, given that the event is less than a week before the launch of archrival Microsoft’s Halo 3.

“Should Sony choose to cut prices next week, we think that hardware sales will trend much higher for the balance of the year, and we are prepared to revise our 18% sales growth estimate upward.”

Pachter also reaffirmed his past forecast that the 80GB PS3 (without a game) is in line for a price cut to $499 prior to Thanksgiving.

PSP v3.51 Custom Firmware

Saturday, July 14th, 2007

Yes A New group called The M33 Team has picked up where the grate DA left off =) and they have made the New v3.51 into Custom Firmware

get it at

The installation procedure closely resembles that of Special/Open Edition (SE/OE):

If you are under official 1.50 PSP firmware, copy kxploitpatcher and kxploitpatcher% folders from “1.50only/” of this download to your “ms0:/PSP/GAME/” and use it.

Once done it, or if you are under any Special/Open Edition, copy M33CREATOR folder to your “ms0:/PSP/GAME” (1.50fw) or “ms0:/PSP/GAME150” (SE/OE)

Download official 3.51 eboot, rename it to 351.PBP and place it on “ms0:/PSP/GAME/M33CREATOR/” or “ms0:/PSP/GAME150/M33 CREATOR/”

Download official 1.50 eboot, rename it to 150.PBP and place it on “ms0:/PSP/GAME/M33CREATOR/” or “ms0:/PSP/GAME150/M33 CREATOR/”

Go to Games/Memory Stick on your PSP, and execute “3.51 M33 CREATOR”. Once finished, it will go back to the XMB.

Go again to Games/Memory Stick on your PSP, and execute “3.51 M33UPDATE”. You’ll have to press X to agree to the installation.

When finished, press X to shut down and reboot manually.

Enjoy your 3.51 M33 😉

Thanks to everyone who emailed me; you know who you are. And most importantly, thanks to Team M33 for resuming the work of a legend, Dark_AleX.

HDFury arrives for PS3

HD Fury for PS3

We received word tonight from the folks over at of their new HDFury digital to analog converter with built-in HDCP stripper! A/V enthusiasts will LOVE this device, as it decrypts HDCP-encrypted images for use on non-HDCP compliant TVs.

Aside from the HD Fury features and specifications detailed below, the Team was nice enough to provide us with an exclusive Sneak Peak for those interested, and let us know production is underway with a target release date of May 1, 2007.

It’s also important to NOTE that both the PS3 and HDFury (among other HDMI source/receivers) utilize an HDMI transmitter from Silicon Image, and although they state it’s far superior to CP262 (and completely out of comparison with components) we’re told the proof is coming- including full side-by-side comparision pictures and videos!

Permanent HDCP Modification Kit
HDCP compliance for any RGB display

• Add a HD (720p) & Full HD (1080p) Digital Input (HDCP/HDMI) to any Analog RGB display!

• HDFury is an amazing tiny device designed to outperform any HDCP stripper.

• Picture quality through HDFury is the best possible that you can reach:

– Shortest RGB analog link as possible.
– Gold plated materials.
– Ultra Fast IC > 1.65Gbs Bandwidth (over the 1080p limit!)

• It is fully compatible (HD & Full HD – 720p/1080p) with any HDMI sources such as HD-DVD, Blu-Ray, PS3, X-Box 360 Elite, HDTV cable box, HDTV SAT box or HDMI graphic card.

• HDFury solves the BLACK SCREEN issue on PlayStation 3!

• Any RGB display hooked up with HDFury can display a 720p or 1080p (HD & Full HD) Visual Fury! It transforms any RGB display into a HDCP compliant device.

• Compatible with PC monitors, HDTV, Video/Retro projectors, LCD, Plasma.

• HDFury is an external Add On Card for your RGB display! It’s a Plug & Play answer to any HDMI/HDCP compliance issue, and it will enhance your display’s life time and trade price!

• HDCP rules compliant: no end-user easy access to decrypted analog video. Once installed, this module becomes “a part of the display itself”. The HDFury module is DIRECTLY screwed to the back of the RGB display (where SUB-D15 VGA port stand).

• Blu-Ray/HD-DVD Player
• PlayStation 3, X-Box 360 Elite
• PC HDMI Graphics Card
• SAT & Cable HDTV Box
• Any DVI or HDMI source

Display a 1080p Visual Fury
