Well guys, i need some help..... My friend bought a seagate ST3320620AS SATA HD to replace the stock HD in his Xbox.
is it possible for him to use something like this? http://www.cooldrives.com/satoidecofor.html Or is he gonna have to return the HD?

or he could jus return the hd and get a ide hd, which are usualy cheaper or the same price as sata anyways

also a possibilty but IDe drives are really big and dont have as much memory as SATA drives. at least i have found so.

SATA HDDs Are Cheaper then IDE HDDs 

SATA are less parts and cheaper to make

Anybody know if this worked? I'm going to have to do the same thing however, I say one convertor on Amazon where the customer said it did not work in their xbox but did in their PC.

i have two sata to ata converters that are fried but thats because of a thunderstorm power surge

So I take that as a yes it will work just make sure to have a surge protector.
