I have the evox.ini file already fixed at the bottom of this post.
have fun, and happy modding

What you need:

1) Modded Xbox with Evox dash (1.8.1812 or later) installed.
2) A 10 GB HD (The one that comes preinstalled in any Xbox).
3) FTP ability and knowhow.
4) About 10 min.

1) Connect your pc to your xbox using your favorite ftp client (eg. FlashFXP).
2) Create a backup copy of your evox.ini file.
3) Create a new evox.ini based on your backup and replace everything under "[Menu]" with :

For EvolutionX version 1.8.2594 till v1.8.3285

Section "Root"
{
Item "MS Dashboard",@3
Item "Reboot",@5
Item "Power Off",@10
Item "Format F:",@210

}

[Action_10]

Info "Format F"
Warning "This will format F"
Progress "Formatting F"
#
# This will format F:\
#
Format f:

For EvolutionX v1.8.3682 or higher (newer)

Section "Root"
{
Item "MS Dashboard",ID_MS_Dash
Item "Reboot",ID_Quick_Reboot
Item "Power Off",ID_Power_Off
Item "Format F:",@210

}

[Action_10]

Info "Format F"
Warning "This will format F"
Progress "Formatting F"
#
# This will format F:\
#
Format f:

4) Save your changes and FTP it back to the Xbox. (or in FlashFXP you could just open it in edit mode)
5) Reboot your Xbox, select "Format F:"
6) Select Yes (warning anything on F:\ will be erased)
7) Wait 1/2 a second
Cool FTP your original evox.ini file
9) Reboot.

You should now have more space on your original Xbox HD.

this may be a 'dead' topic now, but i was just about to do it and then was told that only SeaGate harddrives have the extra 2gb, the original western digital harddrives were only 8gb.
so not knowing which mine is... can i just try it? can't do any harm right?

I've not tried it yet. I replaced my retail HD. I think our man Boost would be the one to answer this.  He seems to be all about getting more gigs out of the Retail HD. Smiley

MAKE SURE TO PUT YOUR IP IN THE IP SECTION OF THE EVOX.INI!!! IF YOU DO NOT, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO FTP BACK INTO THE BOX, AND IT WILL BE A MAJOR PAIN TO FIX....Unless you get me to help you!  (Ask Jebus!)

okay i have just done this (thanks to Xodus for mahooosive help) and then realised that if you are using krayzies installer, instead of doing all this you can pop in your exploitable game, load your exploit, go to 'extras' and click 'format f:\'
that coulda saved me some time... o well, its formatted!

you said it X

I have the REAL evox.ini for formatting your F drive as the attachment now.
Also thanks to Jebus and Xodus I have the IP for it set to DHCP ( so read the dash for your IP )

I think that about covers it

there are much easyer way of doing this

1. use Krayzie UXE installer

2. Use FlashFXP

How to use  FlashFXP to formate F: well very easy really just trun on xbox (with EVOX)

(make sure in Evox setting you have Use F: to Yes )

must have evox as dash or app

then open FlashFXP connect to Xbox
ip: 192.168.x.xxx
user: xbox
Pass: xbox

bla bla bla =)

now go to Commands > Raw commands  Or push ctrl+r

type this in

Formatpath \Device\Harddisk0\Partition6

The FTP app will echo a hard drive key (later referred to as 'the number') (display a long number in a dialog box). Use that key for the next command

now type

FormatDrive 'the number'

All done restart Xbox and have 2 more gigs on F:

(Warning) do not try this if you have a 120g in your xbox this is for STOCK HDD Only
