You need the following
Modded xbox
FTP client
Qwix
Nero
DVD Burner
Blank DVD
A crossover cable or,
network cable with a router or hub connected to your PC

MAKING THE XBOXISO

put the retail game in the xbox
FTP to your xbox ip
copy D to your computer
rename "D" to the name of the game in the xbox
close FTP
open Qwix, goto Tools, press "patch xbe", go into the game you just copied to your PC
and select "default.xbe"
once it's patched, goto Create ISO and add the entire folder ( xbox game ) from your PC
-- Creating an ISO with Qwix will make it a Xbox Iso ( GAME ) --
then Create ISO button Smiley   this will take a minute.........
now you have a xboxiso on your PC

BURNING THE XBOXISO TO A DVD
open NERO
goto Burn image to disc.
add the iso you made in qwix
make sure it's on finalize
BURN

this is how you would theoreticly do it....
I would have no idea, I don't make backups

i'm a goodboy

oh yeah, been a while scince this was brought up but I have a 300 gig seagate sittin pretty in the xbox.
it went from 20gig then 80gig then 120gig then 160gig, then 250gig, then finally at 300gig

it'll always grow bigger and bigger as time goes by
thats how it goes

thanks ZZK for the relentless stock xbox harddrive bashing Smiley
I have turned to the darkside

by the way loading time is cut in half or more on everything loading strait from the harddrive.
7000rpm with 16mg cache on hdd

thanks ZZK

... Nice... 300 gigs, not bad!
B----U----T....., DO YOU HAVE THE RIGHT COOLING FOR IT?
You know that the ORIGINAL X-Box HD runs at 5400 RPM, and acording to some
X-Box sites, getting a 7200 RPM hdd into your X-Box without the proper cooling will
damage your X-Box, irevesablly.

Think about this...  Wink

Yeah with a program called Dvd2Xbox, you can store all your games onto the HDD.

Well, there is no final solution for 100% working backup.

Just an example, if you try to backup the game "Indycar Racing 2005" you won't be able to boot into the game, or you might
get a "Dirty Disc Error". This is due to some anti piracy issues that CodeMasters use in their game.
