I have the 360 version of Oblivion and I love it on my Sony 52inch LCD. I thought about getting it for the PC before I got it for my 360 but I would need to get a $50 HDMI cable and would have to upgrade my Video card which is currently a geforce 6200.

The 360 is the cheapest way to go for me. What are your thoughts?

The 360 version runs so smooth and the graphics look amazing. I am really impressed with the power of the 360.

I have to admit that I under-estimated it at first.

the reason it would be choppy is because windows is a resource hog. if it was running on linux or mac it would b fast as hell

my friend's comp, which is new
runs good, at all high settings, smooth, and its tight
depending on comp u have, and ur situation u'd get on pc
but if u know ur comp wont run it, and u'll have to keep on low,
then use 360

Ok I know this is an old topic but I have been running Oblivion on my PC for a while now with all the settings turned all the way up and I have to say that it looks way better for the PC then I originally said. Plus the PC has expansions and you can apply all kinds of different mods that make the game way better.

I've got:

Asus P5NSLI mobo
Intel C2D 6400
1gb ddr2 ram Sad
e-GeForce 7800GT

I've got everything turned up and I don't experience any problems other than the occasional lag when loading new terrain which isn't bad. I just need to upgrade my ram and add another identical video card.
