3.56 May never get a Downgrade as they removed able to update from recovery menu, But you may get lucky and they will sign homebrew with the new keys

Dam man that sucks, hahah fml right. Augh, man its never easy for a modder. But I hear that CFW is less likely to brick your console when its an older model. Basically the older the better, is what I've been reading. Because I know theirs CFW 3.56 by Wanko that Wii hacker but don't know how stable it is with Fats.

And if you brick is their anyway to bring it back?

if you brick with CFW there is noway back  Undecided

And older the ps3 the worse really as the 256 nand is not stable But some CFW's work nicely With Fat models  Wink The Waninkoko v2 is said to work very well with older Ps3's (256 nands) And said to work with All games that worked before... But i still don't trust it LOL Roll Eyes

Son of a *female dog* looks like I'm just going to have to play the waiting game. But since I'm on 3.56 doesn't that mean Sony can also update my machine with out me knowing it? Because I signed up for the PSN and I remember them saying they can do that in the EULA and Terms of Service. Should I just keep it off the Wi-Fi?

To bad it wasn't from Game Stop, it got it from a friend FML haha  it was only $150 and it looks brand new, he really took care of it and he put a 320GB hard drive in it. Plus it plays PS/PS2 =).
