help please

I have a problem.
When I use to run open manager, I would select a game, it would reboot to xmb and I would run the game (with a ps3 game inserted)

Now, when I select a game from open manager, the screen goes black nothing happens, it doesnt reboot to xmb. I tried a never version of open manager and as well as pretty manager.

I'm running games of an external hdd (usb://GAMEZ)
I also tried patched/regular mode and I still get the same problem

What could be the issue, it was working earlier.


I updated my board, and installed the newest open manager I'm still getting the same problem
I load open manager
I Load my external hard drive
The games show up.
I press X
then the screen goes black
any help would be great

What i would do is first try wiping everything and start from the beginning.

If that does not work Try flashing back to the old Payload and use the Older version Open Manager.

i'll look around see if anyone is having the same problem.

And did you try the game in normal Mode or Patched Mode?

BTW!! I hear  that with  Hermes v3 payload  it makes some games that worked before Not work anymore YET some games that did not work Now work SOOoo.. it's like a double edged sword.

I tried both.
It was working before, and all of  sudden it didnt work. So i decided to update and i still got the same problem.
could it be the external hard drive?
the board?
the internal hdd?

have no idea  I I would maybe try doing a Format on the HDD (backup saves) Maybe even do a system restore on the PS3 from recovery menu "If it comes down to it"

Wish i could help more But can't really test or recreate the problem =P

haha, yeah realg123. I was playing Metal Gear Solid 4 from a bluray disc and There is a part where the game does a flashback and uses the PS1 emulator. Well, when it got to that part it exited me from the game and back to the usb, and after that NO games would work, so i did a system restore, reinstalled all my s**t, and viola it worked.
