Does anyone here still use xbmc on xbox or any other platform?
I have a question
if my friend has an ftp server with media on it (music,movies etc) would i be able to access it through xbmc?
how would i go about doing this? "add source"?

Hmm I think you could use it. I had a really hard time figuring out how to get my media server from my pc to work but that's been over a year. Sorry. Just keep trying.

what exactly were you trying to do? stream from a ftp server? were you using xbmc?

Yeah, you can do it. I did that about 3 years ago when i was all into xbox modding, make that 5 years lol. But yeah you can do it and its fairly easy to do if a simple 13 year old could do that.

and is there a guide to setup a simple basic ftp server (without static ip) i would like to try it out

The speed varies on the Server and the users U/D speed

Yeah if you have OtherOS on your ps3 you can get XBMC on it, but don't know if its at full speed?
