So i decided to purchase a wii again. I modded two before once with the twilight hack and once again without the twilight hack.
So i bought it today for 60$+my original modded xbox (do you guys think thats a good deal)
Anyway i wanted to mod it myself but i guess it came softmodded.
I would like to run games from hdd/sd. The wii already has the homebrew, neogama and the usbloader channel installed. How would i upgrade these channels? My wii is on 4.2u system menu. What i would like to to essentially is maybe take out the softmod and redo it, do you guys think thats a good idea? Any help would be great
I searched wiiso and wiihacks but both are confusing me with all this cios and rev talk
i tried using usb loader with a usb key and sd card but it wouldnt pick it up (it would give me a message saying it couldnt find it would i like to retry in 30 secs and two options come up cios ### and another cios###

well i'll need a little more info But (never try and redo a softmod) it's easier to just update things.
1. do you have the Homebrew channel ?
2. if you have the homebrew channel have you updated you IOS's ?

I do have the homebrew channel i just got the way today homebrew was already installed. not sure how to update it. how would i know if i need to update it?
also is there a way to run isos of a sd card/hdd? if so what do i need to do? i ran cisos of sd card through neogama but it only worked partially.

also how would i go about installing virtual console games?

i love your quick replies you should be getting paid lol why are there mixed feelings about pimp my wii? some say use it some say dont  i dont get it lol zzk i just burned a game and tried running it using neogama but i got an error "dvd error 559" ok i download pimp my wii, how do i install it? do i need anything else to install it? |

i think you may need a wifi connection, If anything you can use my files and just update the IOS's from the Wad manager www.smdepot.net/zzk/Wii/Wii_Softmod_3.0-4.2.raron a side note i have not trying Pimp my wii as i don't have a Wii anymore =P But Just make sure you Install Boot Mii and backup your Nand before doing anything like installing IOS's and what not so if anything does go wrong you can fix your Wii here's a little video for installing Boot Mii http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0TVvxGOLOM |

yeah it's in the pack, just transfer the folder to the app folder

thanks! im guessing i have to transfer pimp my wii to the app folder and install it from there thanks:) another question what program do i use to transfer iso's/cisos to the sd card? and what program do i use to load the games from the sd card thanks! ok i tried your pack zzk im on 4.2u homebrew channel was already installed anyway i tried running your pack it wouldnt allow me to run it "there is no vulnerabaility" or what not. so then i pressed the "home" button on the homebrew channel and i tried to load bootmii, but all i got was a black screen and the dvd drive flashing blue  |

yup there was only a private folder so i replaced the private folder

you can try the bannerBoom website see if you can find a update file or on the Wii try loading from the Main Menu on the SD channel on the bottom or if that's the way you did it then go into settings and try from there  |

Yeah they are .wad files, you place them in the WAD folder then used WAD manager to install them you the wii.
