I have flash quite a few PSP's but not for a while, Im trying to update my friends PSP but he has wipped the flash off by updating it from a game disk.

My problem is that when I put the pandora battery in the green light comes on, but nothing happens.

I have tryed to make the magic disk again but I only have either a 32mb card or a 8gb one.  I thought it might have been the 1gb card that was ruined.

But shouldnt the pandora battery give you something apart from the green light when you put it in?

If a pandora's battery is working then you will only see a Green light, if the pandora's menu does not show up then the Magic memory stick was made wrong.

try using a 256mb care or 1g  (a 32mb stick will not work)

and anything greater thatn 4GB unfortunatly. Well rephrase that. Anything from 256mb up untill anything less than 4gb. Cant be 4gb

All in all, it was a good day. Especially considering I didn't even have to use my AK.

ok here's the deal lol

256mb = 100% works

1g = 100% works

2g = 70%-40% works

4g = 40%-20% works

8g = 5%-0% works

the reason is really Unknown but when it comes the making a magic memorystick your best bet is a 256mb or 1g

I have a 2g myself that's a SanDisk and it works as a magic memorystick.

Many people point out that fakes will not work as a magic memoryStick.

I would like to point out all my PSP Memorysticks are SanDisk and work as a Magic Memorystick.

Lol Zzk, I'm just proving that there is still a chance for bigger cards to work.

Kinda like when I modded my Xbox with the platinum edition of Splinter Cell, even though everyone said it couldn't be done Cheesy

I think it was more along the line of people just saying that, As the likely hod of one getting a rare platinum edition version that worked was like 1 in 100,000  Tongue

that's why i setup more then 1 link for the files lol

5.00m33
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=CFMQN7LO

or if that does not work try

4.01m33
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=YCUC29N5

if you use the 4.01m33 files just update to 5.00m33-6 after the install.

(note)
if your still getting errors after downloading from Megaupload it maybe your computer that's messed up or your network.

go on google type in  5.00m33-6  update =P you will need the Real 5.00 sony update as well.

5.00m33-6 (tranafer UPDATE folder to /PSP/GAME folder)
http://dl.qj.net/download/cfw-500-m336.html

500.pbp (sony update) file will be called EBOOT.PBP
http://uploading.com/files/6X0E1YMQ/PSP_500_FW_UPDATE.zip/

make sure to rename the sony update EBOOT.PBP to 500.PBP then place in the /PSP/GAME/UPDATE folder.

Now run the 5.00m33 Update on the PSP and wait till it's done, Now you will be on 5.00m33-6
