Halo 2 Vista help!

Ok I know it's fro pc but there is no "Games" section under pc and since it was made for the xbox and modded on the xbox I figured I'd ask away here. ok lets get started. What I'd like to know is if the Halo 2 tools for modding the xbox version will work with the pc. second I wanted to see if anyone here has even got around to Halo 2 Vista and have made their own maps with the editing tools it comes with because I can't get 3DS Max to open any maps :/ and yes I did put the plugin into the folder it's supposed to be in. I just can't figure any of this out :/ could anyone who has modded Halo 2 Vista help me please?

Well to let you know the maps are different from the xbox version of halo 2. The resolution of textures I think is higher and a bunch of different stuff.
