PSP Hack

Hello all.
I have a phat psp.
Firmware: 2.82
Battary: 3.6V --> 1800 mAh
memory card: Sony --> Memory stick PRODuo (high speed) 1gb ---> magic gate
I do not have a modded psp with me, so im not sure if there is another way to make a pandora battary?
Also is a step by step tutorial on how on how to hack phat psps with 2.82 firmware. I googled it but most tutorials requirements are a modded psp or a pandoras battary.
Any help would be great thanks!

Yeah you can mod it, upgrade to 5.03 and then use HEN for 5.03 and from there launch the CFW update. Im sorry im not being very clear on this, but i know zzk will go into more detail later.

but when i tried to update it wouldnt let me something about the save being currupt, do i have to update it using the adapter (charger)?

well first i just have to point out the bad luck you have lol

If you had 2.71 you could have just downgraded to 1.50 then installed CFW from there But sadly with 2.82 your stuck with  HEN or getting stuff like GTA or Pandora's battery.

1. I would just buy a pandora's battery for like 6$ http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.12472~r.24128850
I have had this battery now for a good 2 years and still going strong.

2. If not that then try the chicken HEN or ChickHEN  hack  (not sure how it's  spelled)
I am not really up-to-date on how it's done But know it's easy But not sure if PSP Fats will work with it, as i tried the hack myself Back in the time when it first came out and did not work on my PSP Fat.

3. Buy a Unpatched version of GTA then update to 3.03 and use the downgrader to go to 1.50 then install cfw from there.


Still your Best bet is the pandora's battery as it's SUPER cheep and easy to use, and as a Plus you can unbrick any PSP (well any psp version under TA-088v3 LOL)

anyway back to the topic i upgraded it to 5.03 then used the chickhen hack works good:) is there only one type of custom firmware?

the two big named CFWs are GEN and M33

M33 is not updated anymore but A LOT more stable  GEN is a little more up-to-date BUT not very stable.

I recommend 500-M33 6 better and more stable play pops/PSX and psp games perfect

Yea i get 5.00M33-6  It's stable and More better with PSX and most all games work on it and Newer Patches are making newer games work on M33

Jak.and.Daxter.The.Lost.Frontier is a new game and it's really good  i played that game for hours on end.

you can get premade PSX to PSP on torrents or get a program like PSXtoPSP and convert the PSX .isos to PSP format your self.
