If i am not mistaken We the Users Make the Best Servers and the Best Mods, Not them.
Just take a look at "Half-Life" it was a crappy game yet some guy made the Best mod in the world from it "Counter Strike"

Halflife was a fundamental evolution of the single player FPS, without which we would have none of the great FPS we have today.
Sure, Gearbox and the like cut their teeth modding the HL engine, thereby changing the nature of multiplayer and user created content, although it is arguable that ID broke that ground with both Doom and Quake.
Anyways, grow up, stop posting crap against classics like HalfLife,

Anyways.. NO Half-life had Nothing to do with evolution of FPS games, sure their engine was good But the Game it's self SUCK BALLS, anyone who says otherwise is fooling them self or just likes that kind of low Quality game.
Half-life had NOTHING to do with changing the way of multiplayer or created content Maybe you Should look at All the Other Much better games That came out Before HL And yes Quake is one of them And was the Very START on Mods/created content and with changing the way of multiplayer. And Again My statement stands for the GAME it's self NOT the engine used or How it was made.
