DVD DUMPER

I just love the DVD Dumper for the Wii, this helps with backing up those expensive disc Grin. But the cool part for is that you get to dump your games straight to your hard drive over your Wi-Fi connection. So lets begin Smiley

Things you need
-DVD Dumper v1.2 (In our Wii Files section)
-Computer
-Wi-Fi
-and Internet Browser(Firefox works best)

Ok first thing is to put the DVD Dumper in you apps on your SD, then run it using the HBC. Once in their go a' head and choose Wii Connection. Get the disc you want and choose your select disc type (ex.GameCube, Wii Single-Layer, or Wii Dual-Layer) once you chose your type, continue.

Soon you'll get a screen with your Wii URL Ex Wii URL: http://192.168.xxx.xxx
Type that URL into your internet browser (firefox works best) and Click "Click here to download ****.iso"
And just choose to save it where ever you want, and their you have it. A game being backed up over Wi-Fi

Here are some ECT (Estimated COPY TIMES)
GameCube games: 40 - 50 minutes.
Wii Single-Layer games: 1:30 - 2 hours
Wii Dual-Layer games: up to 4 hours.

would the transfer speed be faster if connected directly through network cable instead of wifi?

the dump speed is slow so it wouldnt matter wether it is WiFi or not (unless you have almost no signal then it always matters) cuase it only dumps around 4mb per second and the wii wi-fi transfers around 10-20

yeah i don't think theirs a LAN transfer setting, but it don't matter like Gamez said, the Wii only transfers at 4MB but with my Wi-Fi i was able to hit 5MB Cheesy. But either way, their no way to speed it up unless you backup your Wii game straight from your computer  Grin

It may not be the Backup it's self But the Loader  As Softmod is Still Some what New and the Loader is not 100% So Videos in Games Still don't work 100% yet and Some games will have Small errors in them.

Nittanys1
I am still not 100% sure on using SoftMii  as it Flashes Over the Wii Menu it's self and On top of that you got to Downgrade to 3.2 before you can install it.

Yeah, i installed it and am not too happy.  The skin is horrible and I'm having problems getting the 45.app for PAL to install.  I kinda want to uninstall it but I dont want to try and figure out how to get the other setup I had/still have :-/ doh!
