_______________________________________________________________

Ok Snipes turn

just to fill you in, the Softmii is a dangerous lil app and CAN smi-brick and/or completely brick your wii. But if you are successful with your install, you should be happy other then the SKIN isn't the best ever. But none the less, it dose flash the Wii System Menu so this is risky.

I myself had a successful install following the tut given in the download.

Wat i like was
the nice recovery menu ++
I can move the disc channel +
NO MORE  BACKUP LOADER, just POP and Play +++
if not ALL games work no errors +++

But still, the choice is yours and yours alone..... so proceed with caution

Thanks for posting this up!  now we have a place to talk about SoftMii

I had no idea that I could totally brick the wii...Kinda scary..ohh well I didnt have any problems!

Now I'm working on trying to figure out how to change the "Health screen"  I found a link for what looks like a way to install a new health screen but I'm still a little fuzzy on what all needs to be done to change the screen

OK i been Going Over this for Like Hours Now and finding WAY to many errors in this Version lol

1. they forgot to Place the  Regionfree Wii Code In the Hack.ini file

2. to go back to original health screen and sys menu you Need to use the OLD app file of your region from softMii 0.9.5

3. pixelated disk

4. Me i would Install the 0.9.5 Version As it's More or Less the Same As everyone Says that NO CHANGE has been Made Other then Small Crap you don't need etc etc

5. From what i found in Post is even With this About the Same Games that did not work Before on Wiigator Still do not work with SoftMii  i would Say out of the 50 games you Get 20 will not work.

I just really don't Think it's worth it As
1. you Must downgrade
2. with Wiigator you do NOT need to downgrade
3. just about the same On game PLay BUT softmii does play them A LITTLE better then wiigator
4. To High of a Risk for Softmod Users
5. To many Errors In the New Versions (Come on at Best Look over your Work a Few times before Placing it out there.)
6. If it was Me at this Point in time NO i would NOT install Softmii
7. Wiigator IS updating Soon (There Are Slow But Good)
8. Wiigator Has Made a New GameCube Loader and Will have it ready for download In a Few Weeks

If you Wish to See what it Looks Like

Yea, looks too risky right now. The Wii was too expensive to risk on a brick.

But, progress is always a good sign of things to come.

Heres my Wii on SoftMii the skin sucks (ex.CD Channel arrow and CD, Wii Hand, and bottom menu) because still in the works but everything else is good, Backup Loaders gone, so i need to get rid of Wii Gator as well; don't need that stuff any more hahahaha
