Ok...I just soft modded my Xbox and I don't know what applications I'm gonna need. I want the Xbox to play DVD's, Nintendo, Super Nintendo, N64 Games, and youtube videos (but i'm going to get that when I install XBMC).

Also, how much free memory do I actually have in the Hard Drive since there is like 8 partitions.

I'm sorry guys but i'm a total noob.

Well, I'm going to go with you have a 4GB Hard Drive. So after you mod it, you will have maybe 3GB free space. For playing DVD's, I'd suggest Donglefree DVD Player. And then for the emulators, get emulators! I haven't checked the files section for awhile, so I don't know if the files are there.

Ok, in the file section I see some programs you should get. DVD2Xbox is a great program to have, I strongly recommend it. Get the 7.7 version if the 7.8 version gives you trouble. Then there is linksbox if you want to surf the web on your Xbox. surf the files section and see what there is for ya Smiley

I also know that Zzk2001 has a nice CD you can burn and use on your Xbox that has tons of emulators, trainers, programs, everything.

1) Download the latest emulators from xbins
Guide to xbins: http://www.xbox-scene.com/articles/xbins.php
Here is the guide for xbins (note step 6 change "/msg xbins list* to "list" without quotes)

2) Here is the list for the top emulators: (http://forums.xbox-scene.com/lofiversion/index.php/t386399.html)

3) Download the emulators, put the roms on of your choice into the specific directory. You have two choices either burn them on DVD - (minus) or ftp them into the xbox hard drive (E:/emus)

4) To run youtube you would need a program called Xbox media centre (XBMC) [One of the best media centres out there; You can get it from: http://t3ch.yi.se/ (Either ftp or burn, and place it into E:/apps

5) To surf youtube you would need a script/plugin. (Here is a guide on youtube on how to install plugins: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E4l_nVqN0q0)

I believe you can get xbmc plugins from: http://xbmc.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=27

Hope that helps

I can burn them? I didn't know that. I was trying to FTP XBMC last night but it took a LONG time, so I stopped and thought it was the program that I used.

That's kool. So all I do is burn them and just copy them to the hard drive?
