My cousin had his ps3 for a couple of months. All of a suden it stopped reading discs (Movies, games etc) Is there a fix for this? Other than sending it in, and getting it replaced?

Hold down the Power you will Hear two fast sounds then Let go it Should take you to a Recovery Meun.

If it does not Then DO a system Update  2.50 or higher

to update go to System then at the very top go to Update. From there, the ps3 will automatically select the newest firmware out and update your console. Of course, you need internet for this to work.

All in all, it was a good day. Especially considering I didn't even have to use my AK.

the recovery Menu is on 2.50 and UP so Yes you have a recovery menu.

To do it first set your setting to sd if your on hd by holding the power button when you turn on the ps3. then turn it off and this time turn it on and just keep hold of the power button again until you hear two beeps. It might take a few tries but it does work.
