Alright so i found an xbox that was left off to long or something, but im getting error code 16 (clock cannot be set)  thats when its left off for 5 hours with no power AFTER the hdd has been wiped

my question to anyone is can this be fixed without a modchip?
here is my idea...

hotswap to unlock hdd
rebuild hdd with all appropriate data
>possibly lock it to another xbox to set time on hdd
replug it in to original xbox and hope it locks back Wink

would that work?

if it doesnt i can always solder to get the eeprom, im not afraid of that, so can i fix this without a modchip is my question?

Ok, do you have your eeprom? If so, I THINK you can Xboxhdm to unlock and remod the hard drive, and go that route. Or, maybe you can hotswap. I've had good experiances with hotswapping, its just a pain...
