UnleashX actually updates.....

We have been under the assumption that unleashx is dead (or i have been)
the version we have in the file section (UnleashX_0_39_0515A.rar) is NOT the latest
Unleashx V0.39.0528a Build 584 is the latest
and the project is NOT dead, its actually just really... REALLY slow
and since XBMC updates all the time, you can see why we would think it was

you actually can use the update server, i checked on that
However, note this

Note: Live Update server will only work with V0.39.0515A Build 583

that would explain why those using zzk's all-in-one softmod couldn't update, he has an older version included with that (V0.38.0222 if my memory is correct) and thus the server seems "dead"

so there is a little tidbit of news for you guys

PS in wikipedia we are the link for the Download & Support Area, so mabye we should update our file section

I still say it's Dead  as it's worthless and i don't think anyone should use it as a Dash as XBMC has all you need in a Dash/Media

i personally don't like XBMC as my startup dash
i prefer UnleashX because its simple
and i have XBMC as an app

works good for me, to each his own zzk.... to each his own..... lol

yeah unleashx done came a long way. i personally it the second best dash out. next to xbmc

i may be using an old version of unleashx whats the latest.i used krazies v2.8 last time i modded.
whats the new ver look like compared to the old one?

i read on there people having problems updating(server errors on auto updates,replacing the wrong file ect) does anyone have a detailed tut on how and what to do to get it up and running? my box works great now and i dont wanna kill it and have to start over.
edit to add.i just checked and im running ver 0.37.1218a build 543 .................yeah its time for an upgrade...lol

First, back up your eeprom somewhere safe
i have done this method a countless times and it works fine

if you used ndure to mod then the dash folder is E:\Dashboard
Extract archive on your computer
in the dash folder youll see defualt.xbe and various other files, delete them all
copy everything from the extracted folder to that E:\Dashboard (the files should look basically the same)
Reboot
Youll have the new dash
