Author Topic: Eternet prevents Xbox boot  (Read 7203 times)

I have my Xbox off with the Eternet (High-Speed Cable Internet) cable plugged in.  It turns on but hangs at the Microsoft X and doesn't boot into XBMC.

If I unhook it it works!  Then I have to plug it and Soft boot it (L+R+BACK+START) to get the Internet or FTP to work.

Anyone know what is causing this and a fix?  Thanks in advance!

Hummm couldn't really tell you on that one, see I have a System Link Cord hooked up to my xbox from my PC all the time and that has never happened to me when I boot up. Maybe its the dash I would guess, what dash are you using? Or maybe its the type of cord, I think xbox's work best with Cross-Over cables.. But thats my opinion...

Might also want to try your network settings. Does your router let you use DHCP or Static IP (what ever you have configured?) Also as mentioned, check your cables and such.

My cord is fine, I have used multiple different ones on it...

I have a dynamic IP and not sure what version my Xbox is :-P

Anyone else have an idea?

zzk2001 helped me out with this one

Delete the information in your E:\CACHE folder

Leave the folder though
