How would I get my regular xbox to go HD? Because when I look in the dashboard settings it shows that its HD capable but I can select the HD settings to turn them on how would i make it so I can play my games in HD and stuff?

erm what kind of hd do you want... i have a sony plasma tv and i bought a new special HD cable for my xbox and now certian games and movies play at 1080p resolution so theres that, but another type will be hacking into the chip that makes video out and manually wire these yourself

All in all, it was a good day. Especially considering I didn't even have to use my AK.

hey n33no you do know were talking about the first xbox right and not the 360,theres more to making something that doesnt go HD to go HD than just getting the HD cables and a HD T.V.

the normal xbox cant natively go hd, hd wont look any better then normal due to the fact that it just does like a upscale in certain games. if i rember right, all it can get up to is 720p as well. you cant play hd videos either with the xbox i know that for a fact becasue it just somply isnt powerful enough to render the videos. i think the component cables that they made for the xbox should allow you to do it, either that or the vga cable.

edit: after a quick search i found this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/817146
