have your pc wired to the internet, then plug in the adaptor. then when the windows driver finder comes up, search for a driver, and it will go online through the wired connection and download the driver for it from the internet.

Are you in a apartment complex or something? because 99% of the time, you gotta have wired internet before you can have wireless.
