Use FlashFXP
How to use FlashFXP to formate G: well very easy really just trun on xbox (with EVOX)
(make sure in Evox setting you have Use G: to Yes )
If you don't Have EVOX as a dash RUN it like a App (you Must Be runing EVOX to format G:)
then open FlashFXP connect to Xbox ip: 192.168.x.xxx user: xbox Pass: xbox
bla bla bla =)
now go to Commands > Raw commands Or push ctrl+r
type this in
Formatpath \Device\Harddisk0\Partition7
Then FTP app will echo a hard drive key (later referred to as 'the number') (display a long number in a dialog box). Use that key for the next command
now type
FormatDrive 'the number'
All done restart Xbox and All your Gigs will be there on G:
**Note** you must download a EVOX skin that has G: on it to see free space on the Dash you can look in Settings to see freespace on G: as well to see if it worked
If you use Unleash X you need to set Use G: to Yes as well

**New**
you can format your G: with the Krayzie UXE installer as well
just load the game save if like you wa going to Softmod it for the frist time
A new screen will pop up this time go to Extras>Format Options
now just format G: Drive and done

I used this method. Seemed to work fine. It echoed back drive formatted and I can see my G freespace in Evox - > System managment -> System settings but for some reason it won't show up when i FTP to my xbox so I still can't put anything on the drive. Any ideas ? (Already got "Use G Drive" activated).
EDIT: Nevermind it seems to be working now after some cursing, rebooting + starting/quitting XBMC.

I can't seem to get it to work. When I try these commands FlashFXP says command not found.
I also tried using Krazyie's UXE installer to format G: but after i've confirmed to format G: it doesn't do anything. As if nothing was performed because I can still move around and go back to previous screen. No message came up telling anything.
I installed the softmod using Krayzie's UXE installer according to instructions, and I know i bought a Maxtor 200GB HD.
Why can't I get G: drive to work?

what are the sizes of your partitions on your HDD Azndoodle?
if it's something like c: 100mb e: 5gigs f: 180gigs
then your at all you can get
personally I'd just redo the softmod with krazies Ndure and choose NK patcher 06 that will put all the free space on F:

ok, i think i know what happened. My F: drive was formated to use up the rest of my HD space..so I don't have a G: partition. This i my break down according to Krazyie's installer.
C: 499.92MB E: 4 881.63MB F: 186 802.83 MB X: 749.89MB Y: 749.89MB Z: 749.89MB
I'm not sure when this happened, but F: partition took up the rest of my space either when I created my new HD using XBOXHDM 1.9 or when I installed Krazyie's UXE installer. (I'm think it was done while I built the HD with XBOXHDM 1.9)
But it seems like Xbox can't see the whole thing, b/c EvoX dashboard reports that only have about 80GB Free on my F: drive (started off with 130MB free). But in Krazyie's intaller says i only used 86GB so theoretically I should still have 1 GB left on F: drive.
My concern is whether or not I will have a problem with this setup? or do I need to redo the entire thing, and create the G: drive. Will XBOX be able to see the entire partition or or will it only see 130MB of space and anything after it, it doesn't read.
Can you please guide me with this? If you think i should do it all from scratch again to get my G: drive, is there an easier way by just adding the partition with some utility like Partition Magic, or Disk Image Pro?

I love all on F you have an ideal setup I've never ran into any partition problems when it's all on F G is just another partition that you need IF you have an older mod that won't surpass teh 137gig limit You have a Grade A xbox mod my friend never format C or E and it'll run perfect F can be as small or as BIG as you want it BOOST

wow...great to know. But Evo-X doesn't seem to report the correct amount of space that I should have... I strictly recall when I first did the successful HD upgrade, Evo-X dashboard reported that I only had 130GB of free space on F: drive (before I had dumped any files in it) , but it should report 180GB. So theoretically there's 50GB, unaccounted for. Will this cause any problems? Or is the EVo-X Free space counter not very accurate?

I think that the version EvoX you are using, on the space counter only reaches up to 137gb ... but then again I am may be wrong.

Some HDDs don't have the extra space on the G: drive.
