is it possible to remove the xbox's origional ram and upgrade the old slots to a greater size?

im a welding god so mabye.... nah

anyways i cant buy the extra chips cuz i got a new xbox which is why i was wondering if i could remove the old tiney chips and put newer bigger ones on.

there is 2 more spots to solder ram on, but soldering those on is very detailed soldering.
So you can double your ram, but it would barley improve proformance.
If you have a couple xboxes laying around collecting dust I'd give it a shot.

upgrading the RAM helped me run my roms faster plus when i sold my xbox i got 200 for it with just a 100 gb HDD and 128 ram

Yes upgradeing you're RAM will make Emulators  Better  BUT not by much to even really see it =)

the only thing you really see as in better would be File transfer (Only from folder to folder)  and Videos load alittle faster  But still so small it's hard to even tell =)
