heres a mod for you . take apart your cd player then get the red and black wires now get a 9 volt battery.
red is positive + black is negative - . now take the wres that go to the reader and to the motor. strip the wires and put on 9 volt after you put a crap cd on it and then run

i blew up a cd drive cause i was bored and it didnt read at all man it was new too
